Mural de la Prehistoria arises from the idea of Fidel Castro and Antonio Núñez Jiménez of showing the evolution of life on Earth. On the side of a mogote 120 m high and 160 m wide the impressive pntura done all by hand, for the farmers living in the area and directed by the artist Leovigildo Gonzalez Morillo.

Palenque de los Cimarrones
Palenque de los Cimarrones
Palenque de los Cimarrones, snacks bar during the day time, and saturday night becomes a disco. In the spanish colony time, the slaves who escaped were called Cimarron and Palenque the place they use for live. the place provide a tour through a cave of 140 m long to find at the end a reproduction of a real Palenque.

Cueva del Indio
Cueva del Indio
The tour of the Cueva del Indio takes 25 min approximately, first walking and then by boat on an underground river inside the cave. Using a little imagination can be seen some curious formations like the fish, or the sea horse.

It’s really difficult to the describe with words what could be seen from the hotel, besides saying that the view to Viñales Valley is… just amazing. After Domingo Ramos who was the first person to print this image in a picture with great magnificence and show then his art to the world, some did not believe that such a beautiful place was even possible in this planet.
